Our First Ever Professional Family Photo

We have a wonderful friend who offered to take our picture in trade for some piano lessons. I am pretty sure that we got the lucky end of the deal. She is so awesome.

You can't see it, but we must have been sitting on a den of gnats during this picture. They were biting us everywhere. We had to hold still, promise not to move, and look like we were having fun. Ahhhh! I think poor little Emma ended up with several bites on her little head.

The location of our picture was at the Ezra T. Benson Grist Mill that is right across the road from our house. It is a great place with lots of pioneer heritage wrapped in it. We love it. During the summer they have activities there every month.

We are having our kids practice on the hand cart just in case! I think I will sit in the handcart and sip lemonade while they practice next time.


This is our precious Emma -"Emma Bean" as I call her. She is now 8 months and loves to be vertical. She stands next to everything she can. She doesn't crawl yet, but she knows how to propel herself forward using her hands and feet- no knees- just hands and feet. Looks painful to me!



This is our Ana. She is princess through and through. She loves lips, nails, dresses, and high heals. If she had her way her mom would wear a dress and fancy shoes everyday. She does love to play and fight with her brothers still.
Daniel just finished kindergarten. He loved is and is a wiz
at writing. He loves to pretend and dress up Star Wars,
Super Heroes, and Ammon. He can keep he and his sister
busy pretending for hours.
Samuel just finished 1st
grade He is great reading &
spelling. I have to ask him
for help spelling words.
Sam loves his friends and
loves to try new things.
He's hungry to "know.

Emma at 6 months (She is just over 8 months now).

Ana is a very fancy girl- these are the nails she got on her date with her daddy. Only her dad would buy this kind of stuff.

Amy's first time posting on our blog-thats a "check" for one of my new years resolutions! I wouldn't be suprised if this is the first and last time this year though.

Folks- it is time for me to go to bed. Sorry that I didn't finish writing about the pictures. The roses were from Mike for our 9th aniversary and I thought they were be-u-ti-ful, so I put them on here. I'll keep trying!

Hooray for 2009!!!

A few pictures...

This one is obviously right as they were heading out to get their loot. We've got two Indiana Jones', a little witch, SuperMom, and I think Emma is looking kind of pumkinish.

I don't know why, but Christmas pictures are never the smooth "one shot and we're done" kind of thing I want them to be. We took our Christmas picture this year right before church one day and I took these shots of "the three" right before Amy came down and we did our family shot. Ana is looking especially glamorous.

Our day at the BYU vs. Wyoming game

For Amy and Samuel's birthday, our friends from Stansbury Park gave us their tickets for the BYU v. Wyoming game. BYU played great and we had a great day down in Utah valley. Daniel was here too, but wasn't in this picture.

Two weeks since Emma Elizabeth was born

It's almost been two weeks (Tuesday at 4:30pm) since our baby Emma was born and we have more pictures! She's a pretty mellow baby so far. As long as we change her diapers and keep her fed she pretty much just sleeps and looks around.

Her two brothers and sister absolutely love her and like to hold her as much as possible.

Hello family and friends, last night, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, at about 4:30pm, Amy gave birth to our new little girl, who we think we are going to call Emma! She was 7 lbs , 2 oz, and 20 inches long. She has brown hair, 10 fingers, 10 toes, and is a healthy, beautiful baby.

All her brothers and sisters (and Grandma Christensen) are excited to have her here, love to hold her, and love the idea of having a new sister.
